Hirer Requirements

Here we outline our hirer requirement’s terms and conditions.

Requirements

  • Valid Certificate of Motor Insurance
  • Payment via Debit or Credit Card
  • Valid Picture/Card Driving Licence (UK)
  • Rectangular number plate

All 3 documents must all be present upon collection of the hire trailer. All 3 documents must be in the same name. All 3 documents must match the person/name of the booked hire.

Basis of Contract

The hirer acknowledges that the goods are fit for his/hers purposes and are in good condition and undertakes to return them and their accessories in the same condition, fair wear and tear excepted, to the place and on the date due back specified. Goods, Trailers and Accessories not returned will be charged for at the manufacturer’s current list price.

The hire will ensure that the goods will not be used:

  • For Hire
  • For any Illegal Purposes
  • Outside England, Wales or Otherwise without prior consent
  • Will not Lend, Sell or otherwise part with the Goods or Trailer

The Hirer shall fully and completely indemnify the owner in respect of all claims by any person, whomsoever, for injury to person or property, caused by or in connection with, or arising out of the use of the goods or trailer.

The hirer shall insure, using his/her own insurance, all risks of loss or damage to the goods or trailer during the period of hire, whilst the goods are both attached to or detached from any vehicle.

The Hirer shall be liable as owner of the vehicle in respect of any of the following offences which may be committed with respect to that vehicle when stationary and when a fixed penalty notice is issued; being on the road during the hours of darkness without the lights or reflectors required by law; waiting, or being left parked, or being loaded or unloaded in a road, and non-payment of the charge made at a street parking place.

The Hirer agrees to pay on demand;

  • The rental for the trailer or goods and accessories

  • The excess amount in respect of each incident resulting in damage to or loss of the trailer, goods, accessories or any property left in the trailer or goods.

  • The Hirer shall inform the hiring company when the equipment is in need of repair or adjustment and not authorise any person other than the Hiring Company to carry out any repairs or adjustments.

Important

Trailers can only be returned when a member of staff is present. Keys not returned will be charged at £25.00. You must notify us immediately if you suspect that the trailer will not be returned at the agreed time and additional charges will be applied.
